The team allowance
This calculator orders the players by Course Handicap, applies the recommended percentages and adds the contributions. It rounds the total once, after the calculation.

A four-player team with Course Handicaps of 8, 12, 20 and 28 gets 2.0 + 2.4 + 3.0 + 2.8 = 10.2, rounded to a team Playing Handicap of 10. A gross score of 72 becomes a net 62.
Which handicap should I enter?
Use Course Handicap for the tees each player will use. Keep the unrounded value if your scoring system provides it. If all you have is a Handicap Index, first convert it with the Course Handicap calculator. Entering an Index directly can change the team allowance.
For a plus-handicap golfer, enter a negative number: +2 is entered as -2. The calculator gives that player the appropriate place in the order. A plus team handicap means adding strokes to the gross score.
Before your event
Confirm the allowance and any mixed-tee par adjustments with the organizer. The event's terms also decide details such as minimum drives and ball placement. Read our scramble format guide before teeing off.
