How it works

Set up the round
Add the players and their handicaps, the pars and stroke index for the course, and the game you're playing.

Enter the scores
Type them in hole by hole on the card. Points, holes up, skins and team totals are worked out for you.

Tag each clip
Pick the hole and who's hitting. The card shows the standings for that hole, before it, through it or with every score in.
12 games, scored properly
Net games use WHS handicap allowances, match play is played off the lowest handicap, and skins carry when a hole is tied. The rules for each game are on its page.
Stroke play
Count every stroke. Lowest total wins.
Stableford
Earn points on each hole. Highest total wins.
Match play
Win holes, not the total-strokes race.
Skins
Win a hole outright to take its skin. Ties carry forward.
Quota
Beat your handicap-based points target.
Better ball
Partners play separate balls. The lower partner score counts.
Foursomes
Partners alternate shots with one ball.
Scramble
Both partners hit, choose the best ball, and play again from there.
Greensomes
Both drive, select one ball, then alternate shots.
Nassau
Three matches at once: front nine, back nine and overall.
Wolf
A rotating Wolf chooses a partner or plays alone.

Show the card for the whole clip, only once the shot has landed, or for the last few seconds. The shot tracer, carry and apex sit alongside it, so one export carries the shot and the score.
Questions
How do I put a scorecard on a golf video?
Open your clips in Chalk Tracer, turn on the scorecard and enter the round: players, handicaps, pars and scores. Set the hole for each clip, pick a layout and export. The card is drawn into the video with the shot tracer.
Is it free?
Yes, with a free Chalk Golf account: 5 exports a month, each with a small Chalk Golf mark in the top left. Chalk Golf Pro removes the mark and the limit.
Which golf games can the scorecard show?
Stroke play, Stableford, match play, skins, quota, better ball, foursomes, scramble, greensomes, Nassau, wolf and Bingo Bango Bongo, gross or net. They're scored the same way as in the Chalk Golf app.
Does the score change during a clip?
No. The card stays the same for the whole clip, so nothing moves while you're swinging. Each clip shows the standings for its own hole, and you choose whether that's before the hole, through it, or every score entered.
Will the card fit on TikTok and Reels?
Yes. When you export 9:16, the card is made larger and kept clear of the space the apps use for captions and buttons at the top and bottom.
Can I reuse a card design?
Yes. Save a design and use it on every round, and save a round to come back to it in another project.
