Greensomes rules & scoring
Team · 4+ (even) players
Greensomes sits between a scramble and foursomes. Both partners tee off, choose the better drive and then play only that ball, alternating strokes until it is holed.
How to play Greensomes
- 01Both partners tee off
- 02Choose one drive
- 03Alternate shots to the hole
How scoring works
Once the drive is chosen, the partner whose drive was not selected plays the next shot. The pair alternates thereafter. Record one team score per hole and add the team scores across the round.
| Stroke | Player | Action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Alex | Chosen tee shot |
| 2 | Sam | Approach |
| 3 | Alex | Chip |
| 4 | Sam | Putt in |
Sam takes the second shot because Alex's tee ball was selected.
